Moleskines are great and everything, but have you tried Leuchtturm, their fancier German counterpart?? Leuchtturms will also not make you write more, which I had to find out the hard way

False, it WILL make me write more but as it turns out, my handwriting is so piss-poor that I can’t read it later anyway

I'd pay more to subscribe if you sent me this essay inside a new customized BAT/Moleskine notebook

First, I don’t buy notebooks at CVS, since you can write a novel on the back of one CVS receipt. Just buy Jakeman’s cough drops and use the receipt for writing.

Now, is the rest of the list going in that fancy moleskine you just bought, or are we waiting for next week?

My closet full of notebooks haunt me like ghosts.

A $25 Moleskine won't work, but a $30, handpainted Molgea will 🫠

My favorite notebook I bought is covered front and back in faux fur. I will never come up with a writing idea good enough to actually justify using it.

Say more about “car wash but for humans” 🤣

But you can use the hard cover Moleskines as a shield when stuff goes down. Just sayin'.

It may not make me write more... BUT it will make me look cool when I got to coffee shops and isn't that what matters most? Think about the aesthetic!

I love this.

I am guilty of this.

I JUST DID THIS A FEW DAYS AGO. (Not moleskin, but this super rad artsy fabric covered job from the "Frank Lloyd Wright" collection at my local art museum.)

I also have a vast collection of journals with the starts of nothings scrawled onto the first dozen pages or so.

When real books become obsolete, writers will still be buying journals. Journals will never die.

Also, are those journals really made from the skins of moles? 😟

Moleskin has seen you... and marked you. Goodluck.

It wasn’t a moleskin but it was blue and had textured WAVES on it so I can’t really write in it because it’s more of a statement piece and what else am I going to show Oprah when she comes to my cabin to interview me after my successful career as a writer has taken off and sustained?? Riddle me that, Alex.

I found a brand called Exceed I think they're only sold at Walmart, meh, but it's great. The paper is as nice as my Leuchtterm1917, it has 2 ribbons and a band that keeps it closed. I use it for journaling and paste some flat paper momentos in each month so by the end of the year it turns into a scrapbook kinda thing.
