dude that movie. Its the best thing in a long time. have you seen their other stuff like swiss army man? And their music videos? This one is my fav https://vimeo.com/98653191
also they did the classic turn down for what music video lol
I have wanted to see it ever since I saw Everything Everywhere All At Once and I finally found/made the time the night before I was going in for my first colonoscopy. I was at home prepping and it seemed the perfect accompaniment for this procedure, what with the flatulent corpse and all. It's just such a beautiful movie. Absurd and grounded somehow. Magical and real. They do a wonderful job expressing these paradoxes of life. Love it! Thanks for asking!
1) i have not seen their music videos til now and that one is AWESOME thank you for sharing it.
2) i have not seen swiss army man yet but it is on my list!
3) and technically my "real" name is MICHAEL, so in a way it's "myq" just as much as it's "mike" you know? what is "REAL" when it comes to names? what is the "LAW"? what is "ANYTHING"? what are "QUESTIONS"?
I probably have the personality to be upstairs with the loved ones but maybe not the desire to deal with that much emotion. But idk if the corpses would freak me out more than the emotions. Honestly I'd rather be in the lab figuring out how the poor saps died in the first place, samples only; no corpses.
Best thing I've seen lately: 'The Haunting of Night Vale' the latest Welcome to Night Vale live show.
It is a wonderful piece of absurdism! The podcast equivalent of a 'The Twilight Zone's' Weird Twitter presented as a community radio show. Plus the weather is music which is a fun twist.
As for emotionally healing corpses, there are a few things that warm a corpses cold, cold heart; primarily room temperature embalming fluid but also the flame from the crematorium.
TAKE ME TO THE CORPSES ! Thanks for answering Cara and very nice to meet you - excited to have you as part of the Both Are True family. Your free car is in the mail.
Also dang Confessions slaps! After the first 15 seconds I was like Ive never heard this before but then the violin comes in (at least I think its a violin) and I was like oh shit I know and love this song! That concert's gonna be dope
OK but what if you were not privy to that information. You gotta make a decision for the next three years of where you'll be working. Which is it Chris, up or down?
I would be downstairs with the corpses because I don't know how to handle grief and would not be able to help the families upstairs. The best thing I've heard recently is the song "It Just Goes On" by Flock Of Dimes whose healing powers I cannot recommend enough.
I think I'd be down there too. I want to say I'd be brave enough to be upstairs but let's be honest.
Also this song is dope. I just read about the whole new album it sounds very cool - a record about heartbreak but from a dualistic perspective: the experience of having one's heart broken and breaking someone else's heart at the same time.
I am Mike. People who don't know me call me Michael. They are wrong. I am...
Really? Like, what I am? It's a lie! I won't go there! Make them stop! I'm a word guy. Of course. I overthink and underdo. Which makes me human I guess.
Lastly, what have I seen or done or whatever. I used to love movies, so you tell me bro. Soderbergh? Hello, Sex Lies and Videotape was nasty beautiful. I wished I wrote it. He did. That man, Steve. Tell him hi-oh bro. Cheers MM
i'd be driving the fucking limo
AMP UP THAT ENGAGEMENT BB

and the best thing I have seen lately is MS. MARVEL

Who are you? Myq Kaplan.
Who are you really? Mike Kaplan.
QUICK: Best thing you’ve read or seen or played or listened to lately? EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dude that movie. Its the best thing in a long time. have you seen their other stuff like swiss army man? And their music videos? This one is my fav https://vimeo.com/98653191

Myq I am alive what more can I ask for ? Ok one more thing tell me more about your viewing of Swiss army man
I have wanted to see it ever since I saw Everything Everywhere All At Once and I finally found/made the time the night before I was going in for my first colonoscopy. Who am I: Jim
Who am I really: If I knew the answer to that, I don't think I'd still be in therapy
Best thing I saw recently: Rewatched Minority Report for the first time in years. So good
Morgue: Big downstairs energy here
Heya Jim great to have you here! Minority Report oh man I need to rewatch that did they predict it all correctly lol?
And +1 for lifelong therapy sorta guy over here

heya Matthew welcome to Both Are True!! You could, dare I say, try to emotionally heal the corpses?
Welcome to Night Vale - so many ppl have told me about this - I know I need to try it, this might push me over the edge into it
It is a wonderful piece of absurdism! The podcast equivalent of a 'The Twilight Zone's' Weird Twitter presented as a community radio show. Plus the weather is music which is a fun twist.

the twilight zone's weird twitter presented as a community radio show hahaha ok i'm SOLD
Upstairs. With whomever.
This is why you are a special kind of human Addie
I would be both upstairs and downstairs. I would be the funeral cruise director but also dress and accessorise the corpses for the viewings.
a perfect answer. I binged Bo Burnham's new album when it came out. Did you see they came out with like 1 hr of extra stuff? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XWEVoI40sE
I did not! Thank you so much for the rec!
And I guess best thing I’m listening to right now is “That Funny Feeling” by Bo Burnham.
upstairs with the families!
I'd be upstairs with the families and friends, because I don't know any better. After a week or two I'd be begging to go down to the corpse(s).
Best thing I've listened to lately: 'Confessions' by Sudan Archives. I like it so much I bought tickets to her show in October!
TAKE ME TO THE CORPSES ! Thanks for answering Cara and very nice to meet you - excited to have you as part of the Both Are True family. Your free car is in the mail.

Depends on cause of death. Baby hit by car? I'll stay with baby. Aged writer/artist/hitchhiker nailed by throat cancer? I'll chat with survivors.
OK but what if you were not privy to that information. You gotta make a decision for the next three years of where you'll be working. Which is it Chris, up or down?
OK, up. Dead men don't tell tales. I'll put up with the parents of the car-crushed baby. There will still be a story.
I would be downstairs with the corpses because I don't know how to handle grief and would not be able to help the families upstairs. The best thing I've heard recently is the song "It Just Goes On" by Flock Of Dimes whose healing powers I cannot recommend enough.

In other words: BOTH ARE TRUE
i couldn't help it i'm sorry
There’s coffee upstairs, right?
