oh my word! we all have PTSD from Zoom!! I absolutely despised when friends would want to Zoom during lockdown because Zoom triggers me. Notice that school board month is scheduled in January, the one and only time of year that we're all feeling generous enough to celebrate school boards because we're all just returning from winter break!!! :-) Great post!! I got that same email from Zoom and thought to myself that AI must have written the email. I keep trying to make myself read the emails about all the AI features Zoom has to offer, but it simply cannot sustain my interest or attention. It's all like, blah, blah, blah. Zoom already does what I need it to do, and all these AI bells & whistles are a bunch of fluff and whatever.
In the most recent email, it said something like "read what these real people are doing with Zoom AI!" and I was like, great! Lemme see what someone like me is doing. But when I followed the link it was what ZOOM EMPLOYEES were doing with it. Ummmmm...thanks anyway.
i remember hanging out with friends and we all googled what 'national days' we had on our birthdays. mine is 'World Pneumonia Day', which just feels like a bad idea for everyone. also it's 'National Pizza With The Works Except For Anchovies Day' which is also terrible because anchovies are great. but thankfully this is all balanced out by the fact that it's also 'Fancy Rat & Mouse Day'
I think I could get behind a cold hard cash day - esp. as a recipient, but what the heck, I can spread the love too!
My question-slash-small dilemma is this: how do I choose between my great friend and my sweet son? Do I flip a coin or something similarly random, or is it a cheat and somehow diminishing to the occasion if I pool what I would have given the one and divvy that up? Of course, then there's the distinct possibility one or both might feel slighted to maybe only get $2.50, or whatever other amount I arbitrarily decide is their fair share of the five-spot. ;)
