Wooow. This was a great convo. Alex you could have titled it: The Mental Load of Fatherhood. Lots of things to comment on, but the topic that stuck out to me was raising *free* liberated children. It's why we unschool and participate in self directed education programs.
I would also add avoiding environments your kid can't handle.
Apparently this includes Costco. 2x in a row my 10 year old has lost his mind. Gotten into the Costco freezers and paraded up and down the aisles yelling "I'm the king of the sausages!"
I like to think of Marc as my brilliant little brother, so it really is one of my favourite things to when someone I adore is discovered by someone else I adore. This was such a delight. Both of you have that young dad vibe going strong and this conversation is so honest so vulnerable and real.
