Funny and sweet and I will do anything for Emma June because I’m remembering my now 18 year old daughter in those shopping cart cars when she was two 😭❤️
"Pre-winced" is exactly it. That constant bracing you describe, it doesn't even need something bad to happen, the body just stays in that position anyway. I think that's what parenting does that nobody warns you about, not the love part, the permanent flinch part. And then nothing happens, and you're still flinching, and somehow that's the whole day.
ran this thru an AI detector and it directed me to a Cat Stevens song 😜
“I promise these are the last chips I’ll ever eat ever“ would be a great premise for a Seth Rogen movie!
What a great depiction of all the feelings wrapped up in everyday experiences out in the world with little kids.
Deep and silly AF, yummm
Man I love it when you write for us.
Wow, laughter and tears accompanied the reading of this post. As usual. Thanks.
Out of the park. (Or the Home Depot?) Hilarity, craft, sheer giddiness… 👏🏼
