Thanks for having me bro! Loved this convo and hope others find it encouraging wherever they are on their journey.

This discussion iscussion is perfect in it's imperfection. I appreciate men who can acknowledge the complexity of their emotions and try to find a way forward with more openess and honesty. It's not fun to see a man in obvious pain who felt he had to conform to some absolute definition of manliness. The fall I witnessed was absolute and tragic with traumatic waves that emanated through all who cared for him. Bravo to you guys for delving in to this field with self awareness and mercy for yourselves and those you meet.

I was listening to this while doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen and I was thinking, "this is the best Alex livestream yet". I have so many thoughts and feelings about a lot of what you were talking about here. Then I heard my name mentioned and I just about fell over. Actually, I just started laughing, because I can't believe I said that to you Alex ("are you ever going to get over the self-depreacting thing", or whatever the hell I said), and this is the second time I've heard you mention it, hahaha. I think it's testament to how much I feel like I know you that I felt free to say something like that to you. Or maybe I just have a big mouth?

If you see this Alex, I will come to the BatCave soon, I swear! There have been a lot of life-y things getting in my way lately. OUTTA MY WAY! I'M COMING THROUGH!

This autoplayed for me after listening to another post, and I am so glad it did. Amazing to hear two men talking about their feelings, therapy, etc. As someone who just wrote a book about working in a toxic male-dominated field (and made an argument that these environments are harmful for men, too), I just really loved this. My publisher kinda thinks men won't relate to the book and I've been like- um- yes they will! And some will absolutely hate it with the heat of a thousand suns (which is scary as a debut author). I'm also interested in opening up more convos with men like this (esp as a nonbinary person).

Blake, thanks for the work you do, and Alex, thanks for this discussion.
