How to turn off Substack Live notifications for Both Are True

I Want YOU (to be in charge of what notifications you get)

Hello and god damn it, how are you? Annoyed by Substack notifications/emails for my Live videos? I GET IT. It can be alot especially if you’re just here for the words.

Here are instructions for how to turn off any and all notifications/emails you don’t wanna get. Also I recorded a video at McDonalds of me walking through it so you can watch that too!!

Turning Off General “Alex is Going Live" Notifications.

1. Go to your Substack settings by clicking here.

   1. You can also click your profile icon in the corner and select ⁠Settings from the menu.

2. Scroll down to the ⁠Notifications section.

3. Click on the ⁠Live subsection.

4. Pick whichever ones you want! You can disable all live notifications or choose specific types (like push or email).

Turning Off "Both Are True" Specific Live Replay Emails

This is specifically for the emails sent out after a "Both Are True" live stream happens.

1. Go to your Both Are True’s “Manage subscription” page here.

   1. You can also get there by going to Both Are True’s homepage, clicking on the profile icon in the top right, and selecting “Manage subscription.”

2. Within your subscription settings, find the ⁠Notifications area.

3. Locate the toggle for for BAT LIVE and turn it OFF.

Bam, that’s it! Now you won’t hear jack diddly doo about my Substack Lives.
