I believe it was Rilke who once said ‘what the hell am i supposed to write today god i just wanna nap.’

He’s right - writing is hard. And fuck anyone who says ‘writing is never work for me I’m a little dancer on the page it feels like play and marmalade’ those people are liars.

It’s not just writing either, it’s all things that are art which when we’re getting right down to it can be anything. They put a banana on a wall at the Big Museum and everyone went whoa.

One thing that always helps me feel less shitty is to commiserate with others about the woes of work, so let’s party.
