Jesus Christ I really should have edited this

I think (and I honestly do think, no messing here) the point of Substack is to be a mad scientist's laboratory. We cook up mad experiments, and if they work, we take them elsewhere and scale them up and run them properly. If they don't, it was still a fun experiment, no harm done.

After two years of being on Substack, I've gotta say that I agree with you on this one, Mike "Sowden"!

Hi, I ignore all the brouhaha about sustack, has it changed, for better or worse, and pretty much ignore all the new features, because one of the reasons I moved my blogging and newsletters over was because it was so simple. And if you ignore all the new features it is still simple. what hasn't changed is how much I enjoy connecting on a daily basis with my loyal free subscribers, having a place to hold myself accountable about how long I walk a day (now zipping along with a walker) or how many words in newest book I have written. But I also enjoy reading some favorite stacks (even ones by that evil Snowdon) and getting a peek at how some of you youngsters are doing with your lives and your attempts to put together a career where you can use your creativity.

Besides the fact I now have a titanium rod in my left femur and have discovered that I'm evidently made of glass, so in order to walk without falling and shattering, I need to use a walker, I'm great. I've discovered with the walker I can zip around the neighborhood even faster, and I am now 30,000 words into the next full-length novel in my historical mystery series so I am very happy. How's the new house going!
